How to import your school timetable in two minutes

Almost every school platform can give you a calendar link (called iCal or ICS). Copy it once, paste it into classmait, and your classes, rooms and exams appear on their own — and stay up to date. Here is where to find that link on each platform.

Where to find your calendar link

Menu names change a little from school to school, but the link is almost always in the same place.

Moodle

Open Calendar → “Import or export calendars” → “Export calendar”. Choose “All courses”, pick a period, then “Get calendar URL” and copy it.

Canvas

Open Calendar. In the right-hand column, click “Calendar Feed” and copy the link that appears.

Pronote

Open your timetable and look for the iCal icon (“Export in iCal format”). Copy the link. If you don’t see it, your school hasn’t enabled it.

Hyperplanning

In your student space, open the timetable and click the iCal icon to get your personal link. Copy it.

Google Calendar

Settings → choose the calendar → “Integrate calendar” → copy the “Secret address in iCal format”.

Outlook

Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars → “Publish a calendar”. Choose the calendar, publish it and copy the ICS link.

Get started in three steps

Once you have the link, it takes three steps.

01

Copy your calendar link

Use the steps above for your platform. The link usually ends in .ics or contains “ical”.

02

Paste it into classmait

During the guided questionnaire, or later in Settings → Calendar links.

03

Check your week

Your classes, rooms and exams appear. Changes made by your school show up on their own.

No link? There are other ways

If your platform has no calendar link, you can add your classes by hand once, or send the assistant a photo or PDF of your timetable and ask it to build your week. Exam dates announced by school email can be picked up from your mail too.

Frequently asked questions

What is an iCal (ICS) link?

A private web address that publishes your calendar in a standard format. Apps like classmait, Google Calendar or Apple Calendar read it and stay in sync with your school.

Will my timetable update when the school changes it?

Yes. classmait keeps reading the same link, so moved classes, room changes and new exams appear without doing anything.

Is it safe to share my calendar link?

The link only gives read access to your timetable. Keep it private, and if you think someone else has it, most platforms let you reset it.

My school uses ADE, WebUntis or another platform. Does it work?

Yes, as long as it offers a calendar (iCal/ICS) link. ADE has “Export agenda” and WebUntis has an iCal option in your timetable.

How much does it cost?

You start with a 7-day free trial. Then €2.99 per week, €8.99 per month or €79.99 per year, with everything included. You can cancel at any time from your settings.
