Re-reading vs spaced repetition
Same time spent, very different memory.
| Re-reading notes | Spaced repetition in classmait | |
|---|---|---|
| What you do | Read the same pages again | Answer a question from memory |
| When you review | The night before | Just before you forget |
| What you remember a month later | Very little | Most of it |
| Preparation time | None, but it does not stick | None: the cards are made for you |
| Weak spots | Hidden | They come back until you know them |

Frequently asked questions
What is spaced repetition?
A study technique where you review information at increasing intervals — for example after 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days — so each review happens just before you would forget. It builds long-term memory with less total study time.
How does classmait schedule the reviews?
With a simple box system: every time you know a card it moves to a longer interval (1, 3, 7, 14, then 30 days); when you miss it, it goes back to the start and returns the next day.
Do I have to write the flashcards myself?
No. classmait generates them from your own documents. You can edit them or add your own.
How early should I start before an exam?
Ideally two to four weeks before, so each card can be reviewed several times. Even one week helps more than re-reading the night before.
How much does it cost?
You start with a 7-day free trial. Then €2.99 per week, €8.99 per month or €79.99 per year, with everything included. You can cancel at any time from your settings.
