Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate a weighted average?

Multiply each grade by its weight or credits, add the results and divide by the sum of the weights. For example, 65 × 3 + 58 × 2 + 72 × 1 = 383, divided by 6 = 63.83.

How do I know what grade I need in the final exam?

Use the second tab: enter your current average, the percentage of the course already graded and your target. The calculator divides what is left by the weight of the final exam.

How are Erasmus grades converted?

Each country has its own scale and pass mark. The converter keeps the same relative position between the pass mark and the top grade. It is an approximation: your university may use an official table.
